Another week has rolled by so quickly and amidst the stress in daily life, it’s good to take stock of what we’re thankful for.
This week, I am thankful for:
1. My fiance, who sent me flowers this week to remind me that I am loved and never alone. We don’t get as much time together as other couples as he’s practically juggling two jobs, but I’m proud of what he does and am looking forward to seeing him more after we get married!
2. My parents and future in-laws who have given us plenty of support and advice in this journey of wedding planning and building our new home. (We’ve amused plenty of people at our cluelessness when it comes to deciding on items for the home. This all involved lying on several mattresses for some time, going back and forth between two mattresses like five times, stepping on sample floor tiles many times, looking at lights till we’re blinded, oh my!)
3. My friends and siblings who have stepped in to help out with the remaining wedding to-dos. I always thought I had enough time to do everything and felt bad troubling people. But now that it’s so close to the wedding, I’ve had to ask for help and everyone has offered their support and services despite their busy schedules. Many of my closest friends are based overseas and are flying in just in time for the wedding so it’s been really sad not having them around. But they’ve made it a point to keep in touch which warms my heart.
What are you thankful for this week? :)
